Christian Apologetics Questions that Cry Out for Answers
In my research and ministry I have the privilege of surveying a large field: Christian apologetics. The field itself is driven by a desire to defend a set of beliefs centered on God, the Bible, and the person of Jesus Christ, but it is planted thickly with questions. Sometimes those questions find a crowd of ready respondents, eager to provide a plausible and reassuring answer. At other times a question that is of enormous import stands alone, crying out for an answer that seems too long in coming.
Naturally the problematic phrase in my last statement is “of enormous import.” The importance – and usefulness – of an answer will vary from one person to another. For many people the phrase “God said it, I believe it, that settles it” provides the answer to every question they encounter. At other times a person will carry an unanswered question like a burden, never finding the answer that they desire to the question that matters most to them.
The purpose of this post is to open the door to those questions. What is the unanswered apologetics question that is most important to you? I’d love to hear back from you in the comments section of this post.
